Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Rich Valley Candles. These terms apply to all purchases made on richvalleycandles.ca. By placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them along with our Refund and Returns Policy.

Our Products

Our candles, wax melts and gift baskets are hand-poured in small batches on our farm in Rich Valley, Alberta. Because each item is handmade with natural soy wax, small variations in colour, texture, frosting and fragrance strength are normal. Product photos are as accurate as possible, but colours may look slightly different depending on your screen.

Pricing and Payment

  • All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD).
  • Applicable taxes and shipping are calculated at checkout.
  • Payment is due in full when you place your order and is processed securely through our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.
  • Prices and product availability may change without notice. Changes will not affect orders already placed.

Orders

You’ll receive an email confirmation after placing your order. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse an order, for example if an item is out of stock, there is a pricing error, or we suspect fraud. If we cancel your order, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method.

Custom orders are made to your specifications and are final sale once production has started. Details and timelines for custom work will be confirmed with you directly.

Shipping

  • We ship within Canada only.
  • Shipping is a $10 flat rate anywhere in Canada, and free on orders of $75 or more.
  • Delivery times are estimates provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed.
  • Please make sure your shipping address is correct. We are not responsible for orders delivered to an incorrect address provided at checkout.

Returns and Refunds

Returns, exchanges and refunds are handled according to our Refund and Returns Policy.

Candle Safety and Liability

Candles involve an open flame. Please read and follow the safety instructions included with each product. Never leave a burning candle unattended, keep candles away from children, pets, drafts and anything flammable, and trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn.

To the extent permitted by law, Rich Valley Candles is not responsible for any damage, injury or loss resulting from improper use of our products, and our total liability for any claim related to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that product. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Alberta or Canadian consumer protection law.
